Towels take three cycles. The laundry room runs hot. You smell something burnt, or something musty. Pull the dryer out and look at the hose. On pedestal-height pairs the hose sits high, then folds hard against the wall. Foil flex crushes flat in that fold. That single kink can choke the whole run. Lint packs into the low spot and stays there.

Foil and vinyl flex tear at the crimp. We replace with rigid or semi-rigid aluminum, sized to the actual gap behind the dryer, clamped at both collars. No screws pointing inward. Screw tips catch lint and build a plug.
